Temperatures will rise sharply in the next few days

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WSMV) – Rain is tapering off, bringing clearer skies Sunday and much warmer temperatures into early next week.

UNTIL THE MORNING:

Rain is easing in Middle Tennessee. Skies will clear, but areas of fog will form toward morning, low 62.

SUNDAY TO TUESDAY:

Sunday will be significantly drier and significantly warmer. Plan on lots of sunshine throughout the day and high temperatures into the mid-80s. Lows continue to be in the low 60s.

The hot, dry weather will continue into the first half of the week. Monday will be partly cloudy and warm again in the upper 80s. On Tuesday we’ll go for a run in persistent sunshine on our first 90 degree day of the year.

WEDNESDAY TO SATURDAY:

Rain showers return in the second half of the week.

Afternoon showers are expected Wednesday with high temperatures in the low to mid 80s. It will also be windy throughout the day.

By the end of the week, temperatures will fall back to the level they should be for this time of year. We’ll have temperatures around 80 to lower 80s again Thursday through Saturday, with isolated showers and thunderstorms possible each day.
