Police are investigating the Saturday morning shooting

LEXINGTON, Ky. (ABC36 NEWS NOW) – Lexington Police are investigating an early morning shooting.

According to police, officers were called to the Winburn area around 12:30 a.m. Saturday to reports of shots being fired.

Upon arrival, they found a male victim suffering from a gunshot wound near Russell Cave Road and Winburn Drive.

According to police, the victim was in a vehicle when he was hit by a gunshot.

He was taken to a local hospital with reportedly non-life-threatening injuries.
