Time set for Bandits championship rally in downtown Buffalo

BUFFALO, N.Y. — The Buffalo Bandits have won a second straight championship, and now it’s time for Banditland to celebrate.

The team will host a championship gathering to celebrate the title Sunday at noon, in Alumni Plaza, just outside the KeyBank Center.

Buffalo won the National Lacrosse League title for the sixth time in franchise history Saturday night when the Bandits defeated the Albany FireWolves 15-13.

The victory came in front of a sold-out crowd of 19,000 at KeyBank Center, which saw Buffalo win back-to-back championships for the second time in team history and the first time since 1992-93.

According to the team, Sunday’s celebration will take place from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. and will be free for all fans. The rally will begin with what the team is calling an orange and black carpet march before the team gathers on stage to thank the Bandits faithful.
