A 5-year-old boy died after he ran onto a street in Queens and was struck by a vehicle, police said.

The child was struck in front of 20-19 124th St. in Flushing near a playground around 6:06 p.m., troopers said.

The boy “ran into the roadway” when a 2008 Honda CRV traveling south on 124th Street struck him, police said.

According to police, he suffered head injuries and was taken to Jacobi Hospital, where he died.
