Shipley’s Do-Nuts to open 61 stores in Texas – NBC 5 Dallas-Fort Worth

Houston-based donut chain Shipley’s Do-Nuts announced its rapid expansion plan in a May 8 press release.

The company has expanded its development team to contribute to the 61 new locations expected to open in Texas.

Jonathan Massey, Vice President of Sales, and Fred Frey, Director of Franchise Recruitment, were brought into the development team by Senior Vice President of Franchise Development Keith Sizemore for their prior experience with Wingstop food chains , Pizza Hut and HTeaO.

Shipley’s said it was taking a full-service approach to franchise development and was seeking to shorten the time between signing and opening.

“Our goal is to be significantly faster than the standard 12-month time frame from signing to ringing the cash registers,” Sizemore said. “We have a strong development pipeline and want to help our franchisees open their stores faster so they can quickly realize the power and potential of our growing brand.”

So far in 2024, the company has opened six locations in Texas and Oklahoma. The brand continues to expand its reach, opening stores in Colorado, Florida, Maryland and North Carolina by the end of the year.
