Crane driver died in an industrial accident

SALT LAKE CITY — A man was killed while operating a crane at a construction site in the Summit County area Saturday morning.

At 8:15 a.m., the Summit County Sheriff’s Office received a call about an adult male operating a crane when it rolled over an embankment and crashed.

According to Summit County Sheriff Sgt. Sotelo, the man had died from his injuries when firefighters arrived.

According to Sotelo, several police and firefighters are currently on site.

No other injuries were reported.
