JSO: Man shot after crash at University and Atlantic Boulevard

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – A man was shot in the hip after a traffic accident and is expected to be OK, according to the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office.

On Friday around 9:42 p.m., officers responded to the intersection of Atlantic Boulevard and University Boulevard North for a man who had been shot. The man was taken to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

JSO said the victim was involved in a minor traffic accident prior to the shooting and that after the accident, the suspect exited his vehicle and fired several shots toward the victim’s vehicle. Officers were on scene and arrested everyone involved, police said.

The shooting appears to be an isolated incident, JSO said.
