The Pittsford crash leaves one person dead and another hospitalized

ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WROC) — A two-car crash in Pittsford left one dead and another hospitalized Friday night.

Monroe County Sheriff’s deputies responded to the intersection of Jefferson Road and Park Square Lane in Pittsford around 9:20 p.m. for a report of a trapped person accident.


According to officials, a vehicle driven by a 66-year-old man was turning left onto Jefferson Road when it was struck and there were no reported injuries.

The driver of the other vehicle, a 16-year-old male from Brighton, was hospitalized for serious lower extremity injuries and is currently in stable condition at Strong Memorial Hospital. The passenger, a 60-year-old man from Brighton, was pronounced dead at the scene.

According to police, bad weather conditions and poor visibility were likely to have caused the accident.

Jefferson Road was closed for a time as a result of this accident and has since reopened.
