Police seize knife from driver in Wilton Road rage incident

WILTON, CT – Police confiscated a knife from a driver after receiving a complaint from another motorist driving down Danbury Road during rush hour last Thursday.

Shortly after 5 p.m. on May 2, Wilton Police received a complaint from a motorist in the area of ​​Danbury Road and Arrowhead Road.

According to the report, the driver of a 2015 Chrysler Town and Country showed a knife to the driver of another vehicle.

Officers located the Chrysler traveling south on Danbury Road and stopped it in the Gateway Center driveway at 14 Danbury Road.

The 36-year-old driver from Hicksville, New York, admitted to showing the knife, according to police who arrested him. Police found the gun in the driver’s door pocket and confiscated it, according to their report.

Back at Wilton police headquarters, the driver was charged with possession of a firearm in a motor vehicle and breach of peace. He was released after posting $350 of his $5,000 bond and was scheduled to appear in Stamford Superior Court on May 13.
