IDENTIFIED: Man, woman dead after Fresno County crash | YourCentralValley.com

FRESNO COUNTY, Calif. (KSEE/KGPE) – The man and woman who died in a traffic accident in Fresno County were identified Friday by the Fresno County Coroner’s Office.

The coroner’s office identified the woman as 30-year-old Lizbeth Sanchez and the man as 38-year-old Santiago Martinez Ceja, both of Los Banos, and the two people who died in the crash. Both victims were traveling in the same vehicle.


On Thursday, CHP officers said they responded to a traffic accident in the area of ​​North Avenue and De Wolf Avenue around 2:10 p.m

After investigating, CHP determined that a Chevy Silverado was traveling eastbound and approaching the intersection. At the same time, a red Mitsubishi was traveling on De Wolf Avenue and also approaching the intersection.

Officers say it is unknown whether the driver of the Mitsubishi stopped at the posted stop sign or whether he continued driving. The Mitsbushi got into the path of the pickup and both vehicles eventually collided.

CHP said Sanchez and Ceja were interviewed at the scene.
