OMAHA, Neb. (WOWT) – The weekend starts out sunny, but Sunday will be a little stormier. Get outside on Saturday if you can! We will have a few morning clouds before the afternoon sun. A NW breeze will keep us a little cooler than Friday with highs mostly in the low to mid 80s…a few upper 70s to the west.

Sunday won’t be washed out, but there is a chance of rain both morning and evening. Sunday is a 6th weather warning day due to a threat of severe weather with both rounds of storms. The main storm threat is wind and hail, although a tornado or two cannot be ruled out.

The first round is most likely to take place from 7am to 10am, with a few patchy showers lasting into midday.

After that, a second round is planned for later in the evening. There are several dry hours between rounds. This second round will depend on how long the morning rounds last and how widespread they are. If the morning storms are more washed out, the severe threat will be less severe towards the evening.

Chances of occasional storms continue into Tuesday morning, with a break around midweek.
