Atlanta radio host Frank Ski’s eldest son dies

ATLANTA — The eldest son of legendary Atlanta radio personality Frank Rodriguez, known professionally as Frank Ski, has died, he recently announced on social media.

“As I write this message, tears are flowing. Many of you know this. I am not good at expressing my emotions publicly,” Ski wrote in the message. “I am deeply saddened to announce the passing of our beloved son Jarrett, whose light touched the lives of many.”

Ski said Jarrett Rodriguez battled health issues with “unwavering courage and grace.”

“Despite his challenges, he brought immense joy and love into our lives and touched the hearts of all who knew him. He will forever be cherished and remembered for his strength, resilience and the light he brought to the world,” he added.

Ski said Jarrett’s last words to him last Friday were: “Dad, hold my hand. I love you.”

Jarrett,
My first son. Although you are no longer with us, your spirit will forever live on in our hearts. You brought joy, laughter and love into our lives, and your absence leaves an indelible void in our family.
Rest in peace, my son, until we meet again.

A memorial service will be held for Jarrett on Sunday, May 19.
