Video shows four suspects breaking into Darien jewelry store: Police – NBC Connecticut

Darien police have launched an investigation into a reported burglary at a jewelry store on Post Road.

Around 4:30 a.m. Wednesday morning, four suspects wearing masks and gloves broke into David Harvey Jewelers on Route 1, according to police.

A released surveillance video shows the front door glass being broken and people entering the store:

Darien police provided the video and said they found jewelry scattered on the sidewalk and ground and display cases smashed inside the store.

According to police, the glass door was smashed with a sledgehammer.

Darien Police say they are investigating the incident and are asking the public to contact investigators with any information related to the reported burglary.
