Search crews were out in force Wednesday looking for an alligator that was reportedly spotted at Kensington Metropark in Milford.

As of Friday morning, the alligator was still at large in Kent Lake.

Park police, along with Oakland County sheriff’s deputies and animal control officers, the Michigan Department of Natural Resources and officials from the Detroit Zoological Society, were on the lake until just after midnight Thursday, Metropark spokeswoman Danielle Mauter said. They used drones, all-terrain vehicles, boats and a helicopter in the search, she said.
