A police investigation is underway in north Minneapolis

Several evidence markers appeared to be lying next to bullet casings lying on the street in north Minneapolis early Friday morning.

Police were on 5th Avenue between Russell Avenue and Queen Avenue to the north around 5:30 a.m. and had the area cordoned off.

So far, police have not said what happened, whether anyone was injured or whether anyone is in custody.
