Montville man attempts to sexually assault teen: police

MONTVILLE, CT – A man has been extradited to Connecticut to face sexual assault charges after fleeing the state two years ago, according to state police.

Carlos Davila, 21, of Montville, was charged with attempted second-degree sexual assault and risk of injury to a minor.

In July 2021, a 14-year-old girl said she and a friend met Davila at a school. Davila pushed the victim to her knees and exposed himself, the warrant states. The two victims were able to escape.

Davila met the victim through social media. She told him how old she was and he asked her for explicit photos, the arrest warrant states.

Davila fled the state. According to police, he was eventually arrested in Massachusetts on unrelated charges and then extradited to Connecticut.

He was held on $150,000 bail. Davila was scheduled to appear in court on Thursday.
