Person shot at Sarasota intersection

SARASOTA, Fla. (WFLA) – Sarasota police said a person was shot at an intersection late Thursday.

According to police, the shooting occurred near the intersection of 31st Street and Osprey Avenue shortly after 10 p.m. An unidentified person was shot and later died from their injuries.

Police said the shooting was an isolated incident and the public is not believed to be in danger.
