Shorewood man, 50, killed in collision with occupied school bus in Will County

WILL COUNTY, Ill. – The Will County Coroner’s Office has identified the motorcyclist who died in a collision with an occupied school bus in Troy Township on Wednesday.

Jeffrey M. Santora, 50, of Shorewood, was pronounced dead following a crash in the 24000 block of W. Shepley Road. According to officers, just before 3:20 p.m., a school bus carrying fifteen children was stopped on Shepley Road when a two-person motorcycle crashed into the back of the bus.

A Santora passenger suffered serious injuries but was alert as she was taken to a nearby hospital. There is no update on her condition as of Thursday.

No children were injured on the bus.

The Will County Sheriff’s Office continues to investigate the accident.
