Man dead after shooting in Richmond’s Southside neighborhood, police investigating

RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) — A man is dead after police say he was shot on Overlook Street in Richmond’s Southside neighborhood Thursday afternoon.

According to the Richmond Police Department, on Thursday, May 16, at approximately 3:40 p.m., officers responded to the 1300 block of Overlook Street for a report of a person shot.

When they arrived at the scene, officers found a man on the ground suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
