Firefighter accused of sexually abusing teen in Brevard County Park bathroom

BREVARD COUNTY, Fla. — A firefighter was arrested over the weekend after a young girl was sexually assaulted in the restroom of a Brevard County park, according to the sheriff’s office.

In a news release, Brevard County Sheriff Wayne Ivey said 26-year-old Pedro Antuna was taken into custody Sunday afternoon on charges of sexual assault of a victim between the ages of 16 and 17.

A probable cause affidavit indicates the incident occurred at Nicol Park in Cocoa, although no date was given as to when the incident occurred.

“I can confirm it happened in the park after the suspect followed her into the bathroom,” a sheriff’s office spokesperson told News 6.
