Doylestown man faces burglary charges stemming from county incident

DOYLESTOWN BOROUGH, Pa. – A 36-year-old Doylestown man is charged with burglary and trespassing after unlawfully entering the County Theater on May 3 and leaving with items valued at $70.

The Central Bucks Regional Police Department has charged Benjamin Michael O’Hare with two felony counts of burglary and trespassing, as well as three misdemeanor counts of unruly trespassing and theft by unlawful taking and receiving of stolen property.

According to police, on May 3, O’Hare, a former theater employee, entered the closed theater through a side door and went to a second-floor office. When he approached staff, he was told that the theater was closed and he was asked to leave.

Police said O’Hare went to the first floor, where he rummaged through cabinets and a cash register before leaving with items totaling about $70.

Police located O’Hare a short time later and took him into custody. He was arraigned and bail was set at 10 percent of $100,000. He remained incarcerated on an outstanding warrant from the Bucks County Adult Probation Department. O’Hare was booked into the Bucks County Jail.
