Suspended Edo lawmakers are accused of using diabolical means to try to change the leadership of the House of Representatives

The Speaker of the Edo State House of Assembly, Blessing Agbebaku, has made shocking allegations against three lawmakers during a plenary session on Monday, accusing them of involvement in evil acts.

On May 6, the Speaker announced the suspension of Donald Okogbe (PDP Akoko-Edo II), Bright Iyamu (PDP Orihonmwon South) and Adeh Isibor (PDP Esan North-East I), citing their alleged misconduct.

Notably, Okogbe, known as an ally of former Edo deputy governor Philip Shaibu, was the only lawmaker who did not support the petition that led to Shaibu’s impeachment.

The speaker made serious allegations against the suspended MPs, accusing them of plotting to change the leadership of the House of Representatives using supernatural means.

Agbebaku said the surveillance cameras on the House premises had exposed the spiritualist and the lawmakers who hired him.

“They are being led to create chaos in this House by planning to change the leadership of this House. But thank God they were exposed,” the speaker said.

“They took a spiritualist to the Anthony Enahoro complex and dropped fetish items.

“They brought an herbalist into this meeting house to plant some charms on the premises at 1 a.m., not knowing that the security cameras would reveal their nighttime act.”

Following the announcement of the suspension, a turbulent scene erupted in the assembly with concerned lawmakers accusing Agbebaku of acting unilaterally. The meeting descended into chaos, marked by heated arguments and physical altercations, leading to an abrupt interruption.
