DC BLOX Completes Dark Fiber Route from Myrtle Beach to Atlanta

MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WBTW) — DC BlOX, a leading provider of multi-tenant data center infrastructure and connectivity, has completed its dark fiber route from Myrtle Beach to Atlanta, the company announced Thursday in A press release.

This announcement comes a few months after DC BLOX opened a cable landing station in Myrtle Beach. The route runs from Myrtle Beach, near Charleston, through Augusta to major connectivity hubs in downtown Atlanta, including 56 Marietta Street, and then to the growing base of data centers in Lithia Springs, Georgia.

“With our regional colocation data centers, the Myrtle Beach CLS, our regional network and this new dark fiber route, DC BLOX is building the infrastructure needed to support the rapid growth of the Southeast,” said CIO exploitation Kurt Stoever in the press release. “Digital infrastructure is the foundation of 21st century economies, and DC BLOX is proud to enable our communities to thrive.

DC BLOX said it is also building a dark fiber ring around Atlanta that will connect to two hyperscale data centers being developed to the east and west of the city.
