A Letcher County man is reportedly facing charges in connection with an incident on Tuesday that put Cowan Elementary School on lockdown for a while. According to Kentucky State Police, Casey Jordan and another man had an argument that escalated to the use of brass knuckles and then gunfire around 10:30 a.m. at a construction site on Lonzo Road at Bartesta Branch, about a mile from the school fired. The Mountain Eagle reports that Jordan had already run away when police arrived, but they found him at his home and arrested him. Jordan is charged with second-degree assault
