Man arrested as suspect in mother’s death in Rio Vista

(FOX40.COM) – A man in his 50s was arrested after his mother’s body was found at a home in Trilogy Township, Solano County, according to Rio Vista police.

Officers conducted a welfare check at a home in the area of ​​Birch Ridge Drive and Rutland Drive and had a “fight” with the man before his arrest, police said.

Officers then found the body of the man’s 78-year-old mother in the home and the agency requested assistance from the Solano County Sheriff’s Office, police said.

“This is a horrific but isolated incident with no ongoing or further threat to the community,” police said in a Facebook post.

The man was booked into the Solano County Jail on multiple charges, including murder.

The community of Trilogy is located approximately 2 miles northwest of Rio Vista and approximately 50 miles southwest of Sacramento.
