Two Buffalo Bills Staffers Buy New Homes in Western New York

Two Buffalo Bills staff members have found new homes in Orchard Park.
According to a document filed May 15 with the Erie County Clerk’s Office, Pete Guelli, recently named chief operating officer of the Buffalo Bills and Buffalo Sabres, and his wife Patricia, paid $1.125 million for a four-bedroom, 4,057 square foot home. in Orchard Park. The home, built in 2004, was owned by the Gary Nickiel Revocable Living Trust, according to county clerk records.

Guelli joined the Bills front office in April.

It was the second time this week that a local private residence sold for more than $1 million. A home at 79 Chapin Parkway in Buffalo, once owned by singer Rick James, sold for $1.49 million on May 13.

The sale marked the 16th time this year that a private Erie County residence sold for more than $1 million.

Meanwhile, Bob Babich — who was promoted to the Bills’ defensive coordinator in January — paid $749,900 for a five-bedroom, 3,438-square-foot home also in Orchard Park, according to documents filed May 3 with the clerk’s office of Erie County.

Babich and his wife, Lacey, purchased the 20-year-old home from Paul and Wendelyn Hawthorne, according to county clerk records.

Babich has been on the Bills coaching staff since 2017.
