4 people killed in traffic accident north of Orangeburg

ORANGEBURG, SC (WIS) – Four people were killed in a multi-vehicle crash in Orangeburg County.

The accident happened around 7:45 a.m. Tuesday on Columbia Road near Waterspring Road north of Orangeburg.

According to the South Carolina Highway Patrol, three vehicles were involved.

Troopers said a two-person Nissan Murano was traveling south when it collided with an Audi Q5 that was traveling north. There were also two people in the Audi.

A 2018 Chevrolet pickup, also traveling south, then collided with the Nissan. The truck driver was the only person in the vehicle and was uninjured.

All four occupants of the Nissan and Audi died at the scene, police said.
