Ukrainians suspend Russian offensive in eastern Ukraine – online.ua

According to Serhiy Tsekhotskyi, an officer of the Yakov Handzyuk 59th Mechanized Brigade, the Ukrainian military managed to force the Russian occupiers to limit their combat activities in eastern Ukraine and stop their offensive.

In general, the enemy’s offensive was suspended. There is no such activity as two weeks ago, when they advanced very massively and not over long distances, but they were advancing, Tsekhotskyi said.


He emphasized that the Russian occupiers do not change their tactics and destroy everything that hinders their advance.

Tsekhotskyi noted that the Kremlin invaders are actually taking control of the ruins of the settlements they destroyed and are bragging about their alleged conquest.

The terrorists’ tactics remained the same as before: they destroyed everything they saw and wherever they went, and then said we went there. Why did we go in? Because as far as the engineering, the fortifications and the life in a particular settlement – a large or small village – it does not exist because it has been destroyed. The military emphasizes that it must be restored after the war.


What is known about the situation on the southern front?

According to the South Ukrainian Defense Forces, the Ukrainian military eliminated more than 130 Russian intruders and destroyed about 30 pieces of enemy equipment and weapons over the past day.

The previous day in the operational zone was spent in confrontations against the battery and repelling enemy attacks. The enemy repeatedly tried to drive our units from their positions, but failed, said a statement from the Odessa operational-strategic group.


It is noted that the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the Zaporizhia region repelled two enemy attacks near Staromayorske and four more occupier attacks near Robotyne.

On the left bank of the Dnipro River in the Kherson region, the enemy tried three times to attack the positions of the armed forces, but had to retreat with losses.

At the same time, the Ukrainian military attacked enemy installation sites, firing positions and rear areas.

During the day the enemy lost in the south of Ukraine:

  • 135 invaders,

  • 1 tank,

  • 13 guns,

  • 1 mortar,

  • 6 units of armored vehicles,

  • 3 reconnaissance UAVs,

  • 1 aerial photography station,

  • 1 boat.

Two field supply points and three observation posts were destroyed, the southern defense forces added.
