Authorities warned the public Tuesday about a blinker who has harassed several women in Escondido in recent days.

According to police, the crimes occurred between May 5 and last Saturday on Cranston Drive and South Escondido Boulevard. The unknown perpetrator drove alongside the victims in an older gray or black Volvo station wagon, made lewd comments to them and exposed himself.

“The Escondido Police Department urges the public not to respond to or approach men attempting to attract the attention of young women or children,” said EPD Lt. Ryan Hicks. “If you witness an indecent act, do not confront the (perpetrator). Instead, contact the (police) immediately and report details of the crime.”
