Seattle chef dies in stabbing attack at Capitol Hill light rail station: police

A popular chef in Washington state was fatally stabbed at a train station over the weekend, according to reports.

Seattle police said the 37-year-old victim was attacked at the Capitol Hill light rail station on Saturday. When officers arrived at the scene shortly before 6 p.m., they discovered a man in critical condition “suffering from multiple stab wounds.”

The attacker, later identified as a 26-year-old man, fled the area. Emergency responders rendered aid to the victim and transported him to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead. A witness told KING 5 that several people had their sights set on the victim.

“They kept attacking him,” the witness recalled. “He was defending himself and was pushed against the rails and they stopped him from getting up by hitting him. At least two of them beat him and kept him on the tracks.”
