New Mexico murder and kidnapping suspect arrested in Abilene

Abilene police have arrested a suspect wanted in New Mexico for the murder of two people and kidnapping of a toddler.

Officials in Clovis, New Mexico, said Taryn Allen, 23, Samantha Harley Cisneros, 23, and Harley’s children were stopped at a restaurant Friday afternoon.

The two adults and two children were later seen at a Dollar Tree driving a silver minivan.

Around 4:30 p.m., two men found Taryn, Harley and Harley’s five-year-old daughter lying next to a silver minivan in a park and called 911.

The three victims were shot. The two women were pronounced dead at the scene, but the 5-year-old girl was taken to a hospital in Lubbock.

When police arrived at the scene, they found a child seat, a stroller and a bottle. However, Harley’s 10-month-old daughter, Eleia Maria Torres, was missing.

Officials with the Abilene Police Department said in a news release that they were notified by the FBI of the murder suspect’s possible location on Sunday.

Abilene police found the home where the suspect was staying, and the 10-month-old girl was found and taken for a medical evaluation.
