Due to low demand, Australian airline Qantas will suspend its flights to Shanghai

Australia’s national airline Qantas will suspend flights to Shanghai in eastern China from July 28 due to low demand. “Post Covid-19, travel demand between Australia and China has not experienced the strong recovery expected.

“In some months, our flights to and from Shanghai were about half full,” said the Qantas International CEO. Cam Wallace. Planes operating on the route will be deployed to other destinations across Asia characterized by higher demand or new tourism opportunities, the company said.
