15-year-old gang raped by five men in Shahdol; A bounty of ₹30,000 was declared on the accused

Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): A horrific case was reported from Madhya Pradesh’s Shahdol district where a 15-year-old girl was allegedly gang-raped by five men, police said on Tuesday. The unknown defendant remains at large.

According to the information, this incident occurred on Monday evening. The victim had just returned home from the coaching course with his girlfriend when a group of five men ambushed them.

The accused allegedly pushed the victim’s friend away from her while they took their chances to rape her. They later fled the scene, leaving her bleeding.

The victim lodged a complaint with the local police and based on the first information report, the police have started tracing and hunting the unidentified culprits.

Meanwhile, police have offered a cash reward of Rs 30,000 to anyone who provides information or helps them find the suspect.

Police have not released any further information and the investigation is ongoing.

UPSC aspirant raped on pretext of clearing exam

In another shocking incident, a BTech student who was asked to “surrender” was raped. The 21-year-old UPSC aspirant was promised admission in the UPSC exam if she “surrendered her body” to the perpetrator. The alleged perpetrator, identified as Abhishek Jaat, befriended her on social media. The alleged perpetrator then raped and stole all of her jewelry.
