Woman killed in lawnmower accident in Winchester

WINCHESTER, NH – A woman died in a lawnmower accident in Winchester on Sunday.

Winchester police responded to a call about possible zero-turn lawn mower injuries on Burt Hill Road just before 4 p.m.

Chief David Rice said the woman, in her 60s, was found by a family member who called police. No one was present when the incident occurred.

When first responders arrived, they discovered the lawn mower had overturned. The woman was pronounced dead at the scene.

Chief Rice said the initial assessment suggests it may have been an accident or a medical issue. The exact cause of the rollover is currently unknown.

The circumstances of the incident are currently being investigated by the Winchester Police Department in conjunction with the coroner’s office.

The woman’s identity has not yet been released.
