Josue Zavaleta arrested for drunk driving and two-car crash on the 14 Freeway near Escondido Canyon Road

AGUA DULCE, CA (May 13, 2024) — Jose Zavaleta is charged with drunken driving after a two-car crash on the 14 Freeway near Escondido Canyon Road.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the two-car collision occurred Wednesday around 7:20 p.m. Due to drunk driving, 31-year-old Zavaleta lost control of his vehicle and crashed into another driver.

Paramedics then responded and found a Kia sedan and a Volkswagen SUV with moderate damage. Paramedics also treated at least one person for unknown injuries.

After the incident, police arrested Zavaleta, of Hesperia, and booked him into the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station on drunken driving charges.
