Robinson PD Sergeant Leaves Hospital After Accident | KWKT

ROBINSON, Texas (FOX 44) – Robinson Police Sergeant William Hughes has been released from the hospital after an accident in Lorena.

Robinson police said Tuesday morning that Sgt. Hughes was released from Baylor Scott and White Hospital in Temple after suffering serious injuries in a crash on Bullhide Road last week.


After heavy rain, a large part of the road gave way. Sergeant. Hughes was flown to hospital and treated.

The department is pleased with the progress Sgt. Hughes has made. He still faces a long recovery period as follow-up tests and surgeries are planned.

Sergeant. Hughes and his family express their gratitude for the outpouring of support they have received from the community, friends and other first responders.
