Tiruppur gang rape case: Police investigation revealed that the girl was sexually abused by nine people living near her house.

Tiruppur: The Udumalaipettai All Women Police in Tiruppur district of Tamil Nadu on Monday arrested nine people for allegedly gang-raping a 17-year-old girl. All the accused arrested in connection with the crime were from the same village where the victims lived, police said.

The victim is an orphan

A 17-year-old girl from Udumalaipet area has been living in her grandfather’s house since her parents died a few years ago. Her grandfather had noticed that her body and behavior had changed significantly over the last few days, and she was taken to the hospital.

Then the girl’s relatives went into shock after the doctors who examined her said that the girl was four months pregnant. After questioning the girl, she said that some people near the house forcibly raped her. The girl’s relatives then filed a police report.

POCSO detained nine people

Police investigations revealed that the girl was sexually abused by nine people who lived near her home.

Subsequently, all policewomen registered a case and arrested Jayakaleswaran (19), Madan Kumar (19), Paranikumar (21), Prakash (24), Nandagopal (19) and Bhavabharathi (22) from Udumalai
the Protection of Children from Sexual Offenses Act (POCSO). Three boys aged 14, 15 and 16 were also arrested.

Of the nine people arrested in the rape case of a 17-year-old girl, three boys were lodged in the youth hostel in Tirupur and the other six in the Coimbatore Central Jail.
