Police reports 5/7/24: Buffalo man arrested for kidnapping and rape | Allegany County

OLEAN — A Buffalo man has been arrested in connection with kidnapping and rape charges, the Olean Police Department reported Monday.

Dwayne A. Lowery, 29, was arrested in Chautauqua County on a warrant issued by Cattaraugus County Court for charges of first-degree kidnapping with intent to collect. ransom, a class A felony; two counts of first-degree rape/forcible restraint, a class B felony; two counts of third-degree rape/victim incapable of consent; and third-degree assault, a class A misdemeanor.

Lowery was turned over to the Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office pending further charges.

No further information was available Monday.

Oléan Police

  • Sunday, 4:52 p.m., Brittany Amber Howell, 34, no permanent address, was arrested on a warrant issued by Olean Municipal Court. Howell was also charged with resisting arrest and second-degree obstructing governmental administration, class A misdemeanors. Howell was released on an appearance ticket.
  • Sunday, 9:41 p.m., Christopher J. Schneider, 35, of 504 N. Fifth St., was arrested on a bench warrant issued by Chautauqua County Court. Schneider was turned over to the Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office.
  • Monday, 1:22 a.m., George R. Burlingame, 34, of 109 S. 12th St., was charged with second-degree menacing, a class A misdemeanor; and second-degree harassment, a violation. Burlingame’s status was not reported.
  • Monday, 6:51 a.m., Dominique R. Waterman, 32, of Allegany, was arrested on a warrant issued from Pennsylvania. Waterman was remanded into the Cattaraugus County Jail.
  • Monday, 7:09 a.m., Audra L. Divittorio, 37, of Allegany, was charged with second-degree criminal possession of drug paraphernalia and five counts of seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, class A misdemeanors; and no license plate, a violation. Divittorio was released with a court appearance ticket.
  • Monday, 2:37 p.m., Justin Wayne Carr, 34, no permanent address, was arrested on a warrant issued by the Olean Municipal Court. Carr was remanded into the Cattaraugus County Jail.

Salamanca Police

  • Sunday, 9:55 a.m., Jason L. Bevins, 37, of Salamanca, was arrested on a warrant for charges of second-degree menacing and second-degree criminal contempt, class A misdemeanors; and second-degree harassment, a violation. Bevins was detained pending arraignment.

Cuban police

  • April 30, 11:09 a.m., Robert K. Amundson, 70, of Cuba, was charged with second-degree aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, an unclassified misdemeanor; and unregistered motor vehicle, an offense. Amundson was released with a court appearance ticket.
  • Friday, 6:13 p.m., Alexandria M. Dilliot, 25, of Kenmore, was charged with third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, an unclassified misdemeanor, and failure to stop at a stop sign, an infraction . Dilliot was released on a court appearance ticket.
  • Saturday, 12:15 p.m., Dale A. Adams, 37, of Belfast, was charged with operating a motor vehicle while registration suspended/revoked, an unclassified misdemeanor, and unregistered motor vehicle, an infraction. Adams was released on a appearance ticket.
  • Sunday, 1:02 a.m., Matthew J. Maynard, 24, of Olean, was charged with first-degree operating a motor vehicle while impaired by drugs, an unclassified misdemeanor; moved from a lane in an unsafe manner, unlicensed motor vehicle and uninspected motor vehicle, offences. Maynard was released on a appearance ticket.

New York State Police

  • ALLEGANIA — Kristopher I. Sanders, 30, of Olean, was charged at 8:36 p.m. Sunday with petit larceny, a class A misdemeanor. Sanders was released on a appearance ticket.
  • MACHIAS — A one-vehicle accident was reported Sunday at 4:21 p.m. on Route 242, near Very Road. Gabrielle L. Yanda, 24, of Warsaw, was identified as the driver. Two injuries were reported.
