The trouble for the Aam Aadmi Party continues.

Accordingly CNN News18 According to sources, Aam Aadmi Party leader and former Delhi Commission for Women chief Swati Maliwal said on Monday that Arvind Kejriwal’s close aide Bibhav Kumar attacked her on the orders of the chief minister.

According to police, Maliwal made two PCR calls from the CM’s residence in Delhi, the first of which was received at around 9.34 am.

She visited the police station and said she would file a complaint later, the report said.

“The caller says I am at the CM residence. He instructed his assistant to attack me,” according to the police records entry accessed CNN News18 read.

Who is Bibhav Kumar?

• Former video journalist Bibhav Kumar first came into contact with AAP leader Arvind Kejriwal in the early 2000s when he was working as a video editor for a magazine launched by members of India Against Corruption, the group that later became the AAP became.

• Since then, he has stayed with Kejriwal, helping him in his day-to-day tasks and becoming one of the most trusted people in the Delhi CM’s circle.

• The pressure claims that Kumar also acted as a sounding board for the CM. Furthermore, he ensured that Kejriwal took his medicines on time and followed his diet as he suffers from diabetes.

• Kejriwal reportedly suffered from severe toothache when he traveled to Punjab for the 2014 Lok Sabha elections. Kumar was the one who ensured that the AAP chief was given meals immediately so that he could take his medicines at that time.

• Kumar has been nicknamed “Kejriwal’s Man Friday” because he plays an important role in Kejriwal’s life in terms of food and medicine.

• Recently, he made headlines after he was sacked from his job as personal secretary to Delhi CM Kejriwal by the Delhi Vigilance Department citing his “illegal appointment”.

• A 2007 case in which Kumar was accused of “assault and use of criminal force to obstruct an officer in the performance of his duties” led to his firing.

• In February this year, he was summoned before the Enforcement Directorate (ED) over the Delhi excise case. The investigating authority questioned him about the allegations that, among other things, he had destroyed and concealed evidence in the case.

• Last year, in August, Kumar was in the headlines again when the Public Works Department (PWD) was directed by the vigilance agency to cancel the allotment of a Type VI bungalow to Kumar.
