According to the university, the protests were non-violent and the two demonstrators were not in the designated demonstration area on campus.

Two pro-Palestinian protesters were arrested Saturday outside a Xavier University graduation ceremony.

One of the protesters was a student and the other was a recent graduate.

According to the university, the protests were non-violent and the two demonstrators were not in the designated demonstration area on campus.

Xavier says the couple was arrested after multiple requests to move.

Court records show that 22-year-olds Julia Lankisch and Sophia Dempsey were charged with trespassing and violating the conspiracy ban while wearing disguises.
