First alarm weather | Monday forecast

HUNTINGTON, W.Va. (WSAZ) – The work week begins with clear, mostly sunny skies expected for most of the day. However, as daytime highs rise above 80°, cloud cover begins to build and there is a chance of rain in the area during the evening and night hours. No storms are expected at the moment, so rain is expected this week.

There is a chance of intermittent rain on Tuesday and there will also be some thunderstorms. The best option is to have your rain gear with you when you head out the door almost every day this week. Some rain showers and thunderstorms can appear seemingly “out of nowhere” as they seem to do this time of year!

Wednesday looks to be the rainiest day of the week, with a higher chance of rain for longer periods. However, the good news is that we are not expecting any severe weather, but of course thunderstorms are not out of the question during this rainy period.

On Thursday the chance of rain will decrease and the sun will return. Temperatures will climb back into the high 70s, and although the chance of rain is low on Thursday, the chance of rain will increase again over the weekend as temperatures climb back into the 80s.
