2 arrested after an apparent traffic accident in Saint-Eustache resulted in serious injuries

Two people were seriously injured after a pickup truck driver intentionally hit a three-wheeled motorcycle Sunday morning in Saint-Eustache, Que., northwest of Montreal, according to Quebec provincial police.

According to police, the incident, which occurred around 8:30 a.m., appeared to be a case of road violence.

Police spokesman Sgt. Eric Cadotte says the driver of the pickup, a 26-year-old man, was arrested for dangerous driving causing bodily harm and assault with a weapon.

He says the vehicle is considered a weapon.

According to police, the two victims were taken to the hospital, but their lives were not in danger.

A second driver was arrested for dangerous driving after hitting a car while trying to avoid the first collision.

According to police, the two arrested men were on their way to the same location together.
