Zamfara APC exposes suspension of chairman

The Zamfara State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has declared the alleged suspension of its State Chairman, Hon. Tukur Danfulani is null and void.

In a statement by the party’s spokesperson, Yusuf Idris, the state chapter said the state working committee and state executives did not suspend the chairman, adding that nothing of the kind happened.

On Saturday, the county executive committee led by its deputy chairman Garba Bello and 15 others declared the sacking of the state chairman for alleged lack of good conduct and discrimination against party members violating APC laws.

He was also accused of diverting the party’s activities to some people who were not the leaders of the APC in Zamfara State.

But in its response yesterday, the party said it was aware of this kind of antics by some politicians who are planning to destroy the party to create a new party for the 2027 elections.

The party added that those behind the conspiracy are trying to create problems in the APC as is happening in Kano State and many states.

“It should also be noted that even if some members harbor grudges against the chairman, there are constitutional channels and laid down rules and regulations for dealing with such grievances which are not followed and therefore invalidate the suspension.”

“Furthermore, all allegations made by the dissatisfied individuals are baseless and baseless and serve to destabilize unity within the party leadership and members at all levels

“We would also like to caution journalists and media organizations not to rush to the press without clarifying issues of this magnitude with the party headquarters in the state, especially when we have established cordial working relations through our open door policy,” the statement said.

The statement said the alleged suspension was written on a paper that did not bear the APC logo or the Galadima Municipality letterhead.

It, however, added that a machinery has been set in motion to investigate those behind the alleged suspension to maintain peace, law and order in the party.
