Man was shot and killed overnight in northern St. Louis County

ST. LOUIS COUNTY, Mo. – A murder investigation is underway after a man was fatally shot overnight in northern St. Louis County.

The shooting happened just before 9 p.m. Monday in the 5300 block of Fletcher Street.

St. Louis County police responded to a 911 call at that time and found the victim in the driveway of a home. The victim was taken to the hospital with an apparent gunshot wound. He was later declared dead.

Police have not yet identified the victim or released any information about a potential suspect.
