Hudson man is accused of stealing more than $26,000 worth of items from an electronics store

A Hudson man has been charged in connection with the theft of more than $26,000 worth of electronics from the Electric Barn in North Hampton, according to police. Authorities said Chad Breault, of Hudson, allegedly stole the items from the Electric Barn on Wednesday around 7 p.m. Authorities said Breault attempted to sell the stolen items to a business in Amesbury, Massachusetts. Authorities said the Amesbury, Massachusetts, store told local police they had a suspicion that Breault was trying to steal electrical breakers from the Electric Barn and sell them to her business. “This is quite common where crushers are worth a lot of money,” said Chief Robert LaBarge. North Hampton police said they worked with Amesbury police to recover the suspected stolen items and arrest Breault, who was at the Amesbury store on Friday. “He came back with the rest of the stolen property.” “Without the cooperation of the company down in Amesbury, it would have taken a lot longer to resolve the issue,” LaBarge said. Breault faces several charges, including evading justice. Authorities said they are investigating and anyone with information is asked to contact North Hampton police.

Authorities said the Amesbury, Massachusetts, store told local police they had a suspicion that Breault was trying to steal electrical breakers from the Electric Barn and sell them to her business.

“This is quite common when circuit breakers are worth a lot of money,” said Chief Robert LaBarge.

North Hampton police said they worked with Amesbury police to recover the suspected stolen items and arrest Breault, who was at the Amesbury store on Friday.

“He came back with the rest of the stolen property. The owner was able to determine that all of the items in the truck were the property of the company,” LaBarge said.

“The great thing was the teamwork between the police departments and the companies. Without the cooperation of the company down in Amesbury, the issue would have taken much longer to resolve,” LaBarge said.

Breault faces several charges, including evading justice.
