Ajmer cleric murder: Six minors detained in Rajasthan claim he sexually exploited them

Police reported on Sunday that six minors were arrested in connection with the murder of mosque cleric Mohammad Tahir, 30, in Ramganj area of ​​Ajmer district in Rajasthan. Tahir was fatally attacked on the night of April 26th. There were allegations that he sexually exploited the imprisoned minors.

Superintendent of Police (Ajmer) Devendra Vishnoi said the investigation stalled before the six minors who lived with him at the mosque were questioned. They confessed to murdering the priest because he was sexually exploiting them.

According to police reports, the minors were arrested, he said. Police revealed that the minors allegedly mixed sleeping pills in Tahir’s food before attacking him with sticks. They then told authorities that three masked people entered the mosque and carried out the attack on the cleric. Tahir used to teach children in the mosque.
