Williston Police Department investigates unattended death of suspected missing woman

WILLISTON, N.D. (KFYR) – On Sunday, May 12, at approximately 1:45 p.m., Williston Police were dispatched to the 400 block of 11th Avenue West for a report of an unresponsive person who was presumed deceased.

Upon arrival, officers confirmed the presence of a deceased subject matching the description of Breeanna Ward, who was reported missing on February 28, 2024.

Police say preliminary indicators suggest the deceased was Breeanna Ward, but positive identification is pending.

The investigation into the circumstances surrounding this person’s death is currently ongoing.
