NFL Week 4 Gameplay Predictions, Picks and Odds

Two teams with convincing victories will face off in an AFC matchup featuring the Pittsburgh Steelers (2-1) and Houston Texans (1-2).

The defense stood out again for Pittsburgh in a “Sunday Night Football” victory over the Las Vegas Raiders, but quarterback Kenny Pickett had one of the best games of his young career. If the offense picks up, there is no limit to how good the Steelers can be.

It was a promising game for the rebuilding Texans in Week 3, as they were able to capitalize on several errors by the Jacksonville Jaguars en route to a 20-point victory. CJ Stroud had a solid performance and head coach DeMeco Ryans will expect another impressive outing from his first-year starter.

Lorenzo Reyes: Steelers 20, Texans 19

The Texans have played hard for rookie coach DeMeco Ryans and CJ Stroud has been one of the best stories in the NFL so far this season. The Steeler roster looks even better on paper, although I see Houston keeping this one pretty close.

Tyler Dragon: Steelers 21, Texans 16

Mike Tomlin’s Steelers have won two in a row after being crushed by the 49ers in Week 1. Pittsburgh’s defense has been a game-changer over the past two weeks and the offense is doing just enough to win games. It continues against the Texans.

Victoria Hernandez: Steelers 25, Texans 17

It’s almost time to trust the Texans. But not yet. Although both teams have impressive wins on the road, Pittsburgh has more momentum and more experience. TJ Watt has a league-leading six sacks and will shake rookie CJ Stroud.

Jordan Mendoza: Steelers 23, Texans 13

Pittsburgh’s defense has had an exceptional last two weeks and will have a juicy game against Houston. The Texans showed what they could do against error-prone teams, but the Steelers played a clean game to secure the victory. The defense will make this a low-scoring affair.
