House attacked: House attacked, woman harassed | Hubballi News

Gadag: A group of miscreants allegedly ransacked a house and misbehaved with a woman in Gadag on Saturday. The reason given is business rivalry. The police have arrested five people in this connection. Shankar Nidagundi said in his complaint that his brother Prakash Nidagundi’s house was ransacked by five people and they damaged the television, refrigerator and other items in his residence. “They even harassed Prakash’s wife Kavita by pulling her saree. Sensing that they were planning to attack her, Kavita took her children and locked herself in a room. When she raised the alarm, several neighbors came to her aid. Seeing this, the miscreants fled the scene,” he added. He also said that the miscreants went to the site and burnt Prakash’s bolero. “Prakash and Milind Kale, a member of Huilgol Gram Panchayat, used to have a joint venture. Since they have now become rivals, Kale is behind this attack,” he alleged. Gadag SP BS Nemagoud said a case was registered at Gadag Extension police station and five people were arrested
