10 teachers suspended – Daily Excelsior

KISHTWAR, May 12: Ten teachers have been suspended from their duties in two different government institutions for unauthorized absence in the mountainous Kishtwar district.
The suspension of erring teachers was ordered by concerned Chief Education Officer (CEO) Kishtwar, who during a surprise inspection yesterday found that some teachers had marked their attendance on the JK Attendance app in the morning but left the institution thereafter without any notice.

An order from the CEO said that during a surprise inspection, he found that UPS Matoo Mohalla with a teaching strength of 10 and a student strength of 55 was under lockdown and no teaching staff was present in the facility, indicating irresponsible behavior and negligent handling of the facility Let personnel conclude legitimate duties with them.
In the order, the CEO further said that while checking attendance on JK Attendance App, it was found that eight teachers including Swarn Lata Sharma, Master; Safira Tahseen, Class II teacher; Manzoor Hussain, Class II teacher; Gazala Parveen, Class II teacher; Irshad Ahmad Dar, Class II teacher; Tasleem Kousar, second grade teacher; Second class teacher Rahmat Khan and second class teacher Shazia Bashir Khanday had registered their attendance on the JK Attendance app in the morning and thereafter left the institute without any notice.
The CEO also noted that two teachers – Kanchan Devi, General Line Teacher, and Romika Sen, REK – were absent from the JK Attendance App.
As per the order, the eight teachers who reported their attendance in the morning and subsequently left due to unauthorized absence have been suspended with immediate effect and lodged in the same facility until further orders.
As per the order, two employees who were found absent on JK Attendance App have been directed to explain their position to CEO Kishtwar within five days of the issuance of this order.
Meanwhile, CEO Kishtwar received a video via social media about unauthorized staff absence at UPS Kijae, Paddar Zone and upon inspection, he found that there was a teaching staff strength of 5 with an enrollment of 38 in the institute and the facility was blocked with no. Teachers were present there at 10:05 a.m. yesterday.
While checking the attendance list on JK Attendance App, it was found that three teachers: Madan Lal, second class teacher; Second grade teacher Suhail Akber Khateeb and REK Salma Batt were absent without authorization.
As per the order, the second class teacher Ikhlaq Ahmad Zargar had marked his check-in at 10.14 am and his check-in at 3.45 pm, showing negligent conduct in legitimate duties.
Taking strict note of these facts, CEO Kishtwar suspended Madan Lal and Suhail Akber Khateeb for unauthorized absence from duty and sent them to the same institution until further orders.
In addition, Ikhlaq Ahmad Zargar, second grade teacher, was directed to explain his position regarding tardiness.
